LEM Big Bite #8 Vs #12 Vs #22

Power

Well, the power is crucial for the meat grinder. Whether you grind meat or chicken, power plays a crucial role. So, let’s check the motor power of these models.

The LEM #8 comes with a .5 HP, 370 Watts motor. And the voltage is 120 volts.

The LEM #12 comes with a .75 HP, 550 watts motor. And the voltage is 120 volts.

On the other hand, the LEM #22 comes with an ETL certified 1 HP, 750-watts induction motor.

Since the #22 is the largest one and it is a commercial-grade meat grinder it comes with the maximum power. The #12 is the standard one. you can grind a few deer all around the year along with other meat.

The #8 is for the small home kitchen. If you don’t grind the whole deer in the hunting season, you can get this one. you can grind different types of meat, nuts, and veggies with this grinder smoothly.

Performance

Since these are 3 different size meat grinders and you know there is a huge difference in the motor power. So, naturally, the grinding rate is different for the different models.

You can grind approximately 7 lbs. per minute in the #8 meat grinder.

In #12, you can grind approximately 7 lbs. per minute. So, the grinding rate is similar to #8. In most cases, you can grind more than the mentioned value in #12.

On the other hand, you can grind approximately 13 lbs. per minute. That is incredible. If you are a passionate hunter and grind a lot of deer in the hunting season, you can try this one.

Anyway, the grinding rate is not the only matter for measuring the performance. Performance means a lot.

You can not use most of the grinders continuously. After a few minutes, it will be hot.

Another point is the blade and cutting quality. However, you will get top-notch performance in all the LEM Big Bite series.
